At SWSS we use the SAAB servicing schedule found in your Service book, SAAB standard times and parts programmes to stick to correct guidelines set out by SAAB, although the type of service provided is also determined by you. You may choose from either Genuine SAAB parts or equivalent manufacturer components, however we will always use SAAB genuine engine oil which we feel is the most important aspect of servicing of your engine to maintain its life and performance.
We understand that on an older vehicle the SAAB Service programme can work out quite expensive but we can offer all types of Servicing to suit your needs and provide an honest appraisal of the work required.
We will always give you a price before the Service is carried out. If additional work is required then we will contact you before commencing, with a price and time scale to carry out repairs.
No matter what level of Servicing, all aspects of the vehicle are checked regardless, whether we are carrying out a major 4 hour service or a 1 hour interval service (this is something which does differ from the SAAB Programme).
Additionally, we realise that the serving schedules are becoming longer and due to this many garages will try and encourage additional work to cater for the long timeframe. Here at SWSS we give you the option, for example if the brakes will not last 12,000miles to the next service but will last 6,000 miles then we will report this to you and thus allowing you to spread the cost through the year. If you wish for us to show you the additional work that we have reported to you and the reasons why, then we will be more than happy to do so.
Warranty Protected
Block Exemption
Government legislation passed in 2003 called 'Block Exemption' means that an independent garage can carry out a service, so that the warranty is still protected meaning that you no longer need to use the main dealer to service your vehicle. At SWSS, we will use OE (Original Equipment) standard parts, making sure your warranty is protected at all times, giving you the same if not more level of servicing you expect, without the high dealer pricing.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SERVICING
By spending a small amount on an annual or bi-annual basis you are limiting the risk of having to find a major fault. Gas leaks naturally from all systems at 10 - 15per annum. If this is left untreated, fuel economy is affected when the system is run. The compressor (which uses fuel) has to work harder to generate the correct temperatures when the gas level is low. This costs you money as it uses more fuel. In addition, the lower the gas level, the greater the likelihood of component failure. Additionally a neutralising additive can be added with the air conditioning service which will prevent bad odours created by bacteria, airborne fungal and micro organism accumulating in the system, and returning your air conditioning system back to its fresh and healthy state.

SWSS have long-term Saab experience tailored for every convertible need. We have long term experience of replacement roofs from Classic 900 to 9-3 with full Saab diagnostic equipment to help diagnose any electrical fault and to aid with programming and fitting new roofs when required.
